CD / DVD

We crush CD and DVD and clean them to discolour plastic, remove label and separate the reflective metalic layer, essential for laser reading (made of aluminium or silver). Once polycarbonate is cleaned, we proceed to extrussion for mecanical recycling. This process saves polycarbonate up to 90%.

BATTERIES

The big batteries are crushed, to split the wrapper from the battery powder. Once the wrapper cleaned, we recycle the paper, the plastic and we obtain iron slag and non ferrous, meanwhile from the batteries powder, once filtered the solution, we initially recycle graphite and manganese oxide and finally after hydrometallurgical treatment we obtain mercury, zinc, copper, nickel, cadmium, manganese salts and zinc solution. The case batteries are introduced in the distiller without crushing them previously. The condensation post allows to obtain mercury of high purity, higher than 96%.

INK CARTRIDGES

If your cartridge is not rechargeable we take it to a specific recycling plant. If it is rechargeable it will pass an electronic test to check that remains useful and it will be finally recharged with ink to be used once again.

LIGHT BULBS AND HALOGEN BULBS

The bulbs are crushed in order to separate the shell – that can be made of aluminium or cooper – from the glass. Those materials are then treated separately.

ENERGY SAVING LIGHT BULBS

We separate the bulb in three parts: aluminium shell, plastic part where electronic system is found and the tube that will be crushed to obtain mercury once distilled the inner powder.

MOBILE PHONES

We collaborate with Red Cross sending all the telephones collected. With the money that they can draw from the useful telephones different projects in the third world will be developped. The non useful telephones will be recycled separating the plastic parts from the iron parts and sending the electronics to a specific recycling plant.

PENS

Pens and felt tip pens can not be recycled as they are manufactured with different materials. So the best option is to reuse them. We will put a new lead in your pen and will recharge the felt tip pen in order that they can be useful again. All the recovered pens and felt tip pens will be send for free to humanitarian organizations.

DISQUETS

We separate the metal from the plastic and plastic will be crushed to make plastic mix.

VIDEOTAPES

Videotapes are crushed and, by magnets, metallic parts are separated from plastic and they are recycled separately.

CASSETTE TAPES

Cassette tapes are crushed and, by magnets, metallic parts are separated from plastic and they are recycled separately.

CORK

Cork will become a different quality cork and it will have a totally different use. It is grinded and transformed in cork plates. This could not be done if you mix it with organic waste.
